Weathersfield Township is one of the twenty-four townships of Trumbull County, 俄亥俄州, 美国. The 2000 census found 27,717 people in the township, 8,677 of whom lived in the unincorporated portions of the township.[3]
地理
[编辑]Located in the southern part of the county, it borders the following townships and municipalities:
- Howland Township - 北
- Vienna Township - 北east corner
- Liberty Township - 东
- Youngstown - 东南 corner
- Austintown Township, Mahoning County - 南
- Jackson Township, Mahoning County - 南west corner
- Lordstown - 西
- Warren Township - 北west
Several populated places are located in Weathersfield Township:
- Much of the city of Niles, in the north
- The village of McDonald, in the east
- The census-designated place of Hilltop, in the east
- Part of the census-designated place of Mineral Ridge, in the south
Name and history
[编辑]It is the only Weathersfield Township statewide.[4]
政府
[编辑]镇区有3人组成的理事会管理。理事会理事选举在奇数年11月举行，并在来年1月1日开始四年任期。两名理事的选举在总统选举后一年举行，另一名的选举在总统选举前一年举行。镇区财务官亦由选举产生[5]，与一名镇区理事选举同时举行，不过在来年4月1日才开始四年任期。若财务官或理事职位有空缺，将由剩余理事填补。
