森林玻璃

森林玻璃(德语:Waldglas)是一种中世纪晚期的玻璃,大约在公元 1000 年至 1700 年期间在欧洲西北部和中部生产,使用木灰和沙子作为主要原料,并在森林地区被称为温室的工厂中制造。它的特点是各种黄绿色,早期的产品往往设计粗糙,品质差,主要用于日常器皿,越来越多地用于教会的彩色玻璃窗。 它的成分和制造与以地中海为中心的罗马和前罗马玻璃制品以及东部同时代的拜占庭和伊斯兰玻璃制品形成鲜明对比。
