里欧·欧恩斯坦（Leo Ornstein）是一位美国实验作曲家、钢琴家。他对前卫作曲家作品的演奏以及自己的创新甚至令人震惊的作品使他在大西洋两岸引起了轰动。他的实验作品大多是为钢琴而写的[1]。
欧恩斯坦是第一位广泛使用音簇的重要作曲家。他作为一名钢琴家，被认为是世界级的天才[2]。到了1920 年代中期，他已经不再名声大噪，很快就从大众的记忆中消失了。尽管他在四十岁之前举办了最后一次公开音乐会，但继续在接下来超过半个世纪里继续创作音乐。几十年来，他基本上被遗忘了，1970年代中期，他又被重新发现。1990年9月，94岁的欧恩斯坦完成了第八首也是最后一首钢琴奏鸣曲，使他成为当时历史上发表作品最年长的作曲家（后来被艾略特·卡特超越）。
